What to Expect When Moving to Our Senior Community

During your first weeks in our Marion townhomes, villas, or assisted living community, our team focuses on helping you settle in comfortably. We assign each new resident 55+ a personal welcome coordinator who checks in regularly during your transition period. In fact, this dedicated support helps you navigate everything from dining preferences to activity schedules designed for adults 55 and older.

Our Marion assisted living staff introduces you to neighbors who share your interests and hobbies. What’s more, we encourage participation in our 55+ social activities at your own pace. Some residents jump right into group activities, while others prefer to observe first. Both approaches work perfectly in our welcoming senior living environment designed for active adults 55+.

Getting Connected in the Marion Community

We understand that building new friendships takes time, especially when transitioning to a new location. That’s why our activities director personally invites you to events that match your interests. For instance, if you enjoy reading, we’ll introduce you to our book club members who are fellow residents 55+. Similarly, if you love gardening, you’ll meet other residents who tend our community garden.

Our Marion retirement community also provides orientation sessions to familiarize you with all available services. We schedule one-on-one meetings with our wellness coordinator to discuss your health goals and preferences. This personalized approach ensures that your assisted living, townhome, or villa experience exceeds your expectations from day one.

  • Primrose is a high quality residence where my grandmother currently lives. I’ve enjoyed my visits and my Grandma loves the environment and community, participating in many of its activities. The location is clean and the team there seems very friendly and caring. The pub is very cool and we’ve had impromptu family gatherings there.

  • I lived here since they opened in 2018. Professionally I did a lot of clerical work for the city, county, and state. When I was younger I worked at Moon Beach Church Camp, where my parents were camp cooks. I also enjoyed playing the ukulele while my Mom played the piano at the camp. After my husband passed away my place was too big for just me and I needed to downsize. Although I was apprehensive to move, being alone was lonely and I needed to be around people. People are kind here and like a family. I look forward to simple things here like coffee time in the morning, the noon meal, and Happy Hour! There is always so much going on from ice cream socials, book club, and bridge, to just simply walking outside. A little secret that I want to share with the world… the staff is awesome, they really care!

  • We have lived with our dog Duke at Primrose since it has opened about 3 years ago. Being able to live in our home for many years was a gift but we knew that it was time to downsize and move to a smaller home. What we enjoy most here at Primrose is being part of a community. The people are wonderful, the activities are both educational and fun, and the food is amazing! Living so close to people keeps us both healthier and happier. We can come and go as we please, and take part in the activities that we wish to do. I think the advice I would give to others that are thinking about moving is to stop thinking about it. Moving to Primrose was the best thing that we have ever decided to do!
