What Our Residents Have to Say:
It’s just a great place, they have painting, bingo, and movies. They have something here for everybody even an exercise room. It’s just a beautiful blessing that I’m able to be here. It’s just remarkable how caring everyone is, I mean from the maintenance to the housekeeping to the leadership, there is nothing I can say that I don’t like here.

My mother has been living at Primrose in Kansas City for almost two years. I live in Denver and can’t tell you how comforting it is to know she’s surrounded by such a loving and concerned community of Primrose employees. The staff and service providers are always willing and able to help an 86-year-old woman get the most of her golden years. Top notch is all phases from care to social activities. Highly recommend this place for your loved ones!

My parents moved to Primrose Retirement Community in Kansas City, MO from Arkansas to be closer to me. They were delighted with every aspect of Primrose. They loved their spacious apartment and outside patio. The staff was kind and caring. The activities and gatherings, including Ice-Cream Socials or snacks and drinks in the Pub gave them opportunities to meet and visit with friends. We would recommend Primrose to anyone looking the find a lovely place to live.

Senior Living in Kansas City, MO
Whether you grew up in Kansas City, or you’re new to the area, you’ll soon discover there’s something for everyone to enjoy in Missouri’s largest city.
Kansas City is also made up of many unique suburbs, such as North Kansas City, Gladstone, Liberty, and Independence—just to name a few. These areas each offer plenty of parks, shopping areas, hiking trails, and must-see historical landmarks that you’ll be able to experience first-hand when you live at Primrose.
Let’s explore a few:
North Kansas City, MO
A historic suburb that’s surrounded by its bigger counterpart, North Kansas City is often referred to as the “Heart of America!” Though smaller in size when compared to Kansas City, this area offers a fun, family-friendly community that includes close proximity to nearby golf courses, so you can enjoy a day on the green, as well as the Country Club Plaza to spend the afternoon shopping.
As with North Kansas City, Gladstone is surrounded by Kansas City. Its downtown Linden Square hosts local concerts and community festivals throughout the year. The city is also home to scenic parks and recreational centers, so you and friends can enjoy outdoor activities, such as boating, swimming, camping, hiking, and so much more!
Just 15 miles northeast of Kansas City is the city of Liberty. This is an ideal spot for those of you who can’t get enough American history. In fact, when you visit Liberty, you can check out its Jesse James Bank Museum and Liberty Jail. And after a long day of local history, why not sit back with friends and enjoy a delicious bite to eat at one of the area’s popular culinary venues.
Like Liberty, you’ll also find your fair share of local history and artifacts in the City of Independence. As the fifth largest city in the state of Missouri—and located just east of Kansas City—Independence is actually the hometown of President Harry S. Truman. This area has many historical claims to fame, too—one being the official starting point for the creation of the Santa Fe and Oregon Trails.

Resident/Family Ratings and Comments
Very good at answering questions concerning needs we have
Friendliness of staff
Caring attitudes of all staff to all residents. Terrific food & choices of menu. Ice cream socials 2x week. Safe environment home-like clean but not sterile. Nice decor. Good use of various rooms. Lots of activities. Encourage residents but leave choice to them. Very very pleased. Thanks so much.
Encouraging resident to participate in building activities Housekeeping – building always looks nice
Making the person feel at home.
Mom has for the most part very kind & friendly aids! She really likes the nursing staff. The food is pretty good, but would love to see more alternate menu items. Mom can’t eat the spaghetti, taco salads, bbq meats, etc., as spicy food doesn’t agree with her.
I love the way the staff treats my mother like family. Everyone – the staff and residents are family. Where one person cannot do something – there is always someone ready to jump in and help.
Friendliness. Prompt help Good food.
