Living at our Primrose Retirement Community in Appleton is like having an extended family, where each day you’ll be greeted by people who care about your wellness and who want to make your day as bright as possible.

We invite you to explore all the benefits we have to offer.

Inside Your Apartment

You’ll be pleased with the spacious floor plan you’ve chosen, and you’ll delight in the warmth, privacy and peaceful surroundings of your new apartment or townhome villa. Featuring sound-proof walls and concrete floors, our retirement living apartments ensure you find peace and serenity.

Our Appleton community offers laundry service and housekeeping to free up your schedule from daily chores and errands. And our kitchen staff will also prepare three-nutritious, home-cooked meals every day of the week, so you can enjoy more time doing the activities you love.

Although our selection of gorgeous townhome villas are separate from the main community, all villa residents can still enjoy and partake in our community amenities, meals and activities.

Cooking with Care

Our restaurant is named Hilltop Farms Kitchen after the original farm that stood on our property for over a century. Hilltop Kitchen Farms features the Primrose Artisan Dining Signature Program which offers restaurant-style dining led by a professionally trained Executive Chef. We strive to make each dining experience unforgettable. Each entree is made from scratch by our experienced dining team. Please visit our Artisan Dining page to see the highlights of the program and a mouth-watering sample menu.

Around Your Community

Just north of Lake Winnebago and less than a 30-mile drive from the city of Green Bay, our Appleton retirement living community is surrounded by delicious restaurants, historic landmarks, museums, parks and more to explore.

To help you experience everything your new community has to offer, our Life Enrichment Coordinator plans activities both inside our retirement community and out in the city of Appleton for you to experience with friends and family. See our wellness calendar.

What Our Residents Have to Say:

  • We have lived with our dog Duke at Primrose since it has opened about 3 years ago. Being able to live in our home for many years was a gift but we knew that it was time to downsize and move to a smaller home. What we enjoy most here at Primrose is being part of a community. The people are wonderful, the activities are both educational and fun, and the food is amazing! Living so close to people keeps us both healthier and happier. We can come and go as we please, and take part in the activities that we wish to do. I think the advice I would give to others that are thinking about moving is to stop thinking about it. Moving to Primrose was the best thing that we have ever decided to do!

  • I lived here since they opened in 2018. Professionally I did a lot of clerical work for the city, county, and state. When I was younger I worked at Moon Beach Church Camp, where my parents were camp cooks. I also enjoyed playing the ukulele while my Mom played the piano at the camp. After my husband passed away my place was too big for just me and I needed to downsize. Although I was apprehensive to move, being alone was lonely and I needed to be around people. People are kind here and like a family. I look forward to simple things here like coffee time in the morning, the noon meal, and Happy Hour! There is always so much going on from ice cream socials, book club, and bridge, to just simply walking outside. A little secret that I want to share with the world… the staff is awesome, they really care!

  • Primrose is a high quality residence where my grandmother currently lives. I’ve enjoyed my visits and my Grandma loves the environment and community, participating in many of its activities. The location is clean and the team there seems very friendly and caring. The pub is very cool and we’ve had impromptu family gatherings there.
