4th Quarter 2025 – Primrose Difference Maker

We recognize MANDY McDOWELL, Certified Medication Tech/Aide/QMAP/QMA, at our Appleton, WI location as our fourth quarter Primrose Difference Maker. She was nominated by Steve Gromala, Executive Director. Mandy has been with Primrose since October 2021.

Mandy exemplifies Primrose’s mission of person-centered care through the way she engages with each resident as an individual. She takes the time to listen to their stories, understand their preferences, and respects their routines. Mandy goes beyond simply providing assistance; she builds relationships that foster trust, dignity, and a sense of belonging, not only with residents but also with their family members. Her compassion and attentiveness ensure that residents feel valued and cared for as unique individuals, which is at the very heart of person-centered care.

Mandy enriches the lives of residents by bringing joy and comfort into their everyday experiences. She makes a point to learn what truly matters to each person—with the priority being on ensuring that every resident receives the very best in care in the Appleton area. Mandy leads by example, setting a high standard of excellence in resident care. She actively supports her fellow team members by offering guidance, encouragement, and hands-on assistance when needed. Mandy helps staff stay focused on the details that matter most, reminding them that every task—big or small—contributes to a resident’s well-being. She fosters a spirit of teamwork, ensuring that care plans are followed thoroughly and consistently.

There have been countless times when residents and family members sing her praises for the work she had done, her dedication, and her attention to detail.
