Q: What is Primrose?
A: A retirement community consisting of assisted living apartments, premier independent senior apartments and luxury townhomes.
Q: Do you have any apartments or townhomes available at this time?
A: Please call (740) 617-1461 for availability.
Q: Where is Primrose located?
A: We are located at 4212 North Pointe Drive.
Q: Is there a lease?
A: Independent Living and Townhome Villa residents must sign a 3-month lease. The Assisted Living lease is on a month-to-month basis.
Q: How do I reserve an apartment?
A: All you have to do is put down a $500 deposit.
Q: I've heard about Veterans Benefits, what is this?
A: Veterans or widows of veterans can qualify to receive the "Aid and Attendance" benefits from the Veterans Administration, so be sure to contact your local VA representative.
Q: How qualified is our Primrose staff?
A: At Primrose Retirement Community, we have assembled a team of experienced nurses, care staff, and dining staff that know how important the details are. On average, each Primrose employee has 12 years of healthcare experience. We are all working together for you!
Q: How do you differ from other retirement communities?
A: We are different in a lot of different areas. We are independent and assisted living. Independent folks can choose between living inside the building or in one of our outside villas. We have a nurse on-site 24 hours a day which is so important. We also have a board-certified medical doctor who frequents our community for regular appointments or as needed. For more information, just call us!
Q: Do you have a nurse on site 24 hours a day?
A: Yes. We have a licensed nurse on-site 24 hours a day. It's very important to ask retirement communities if a nurse is "available" 24 hours a day, or if he or she is actually "on-site."
Q: Do Independent Living residents have access to the Nurse in assisted living?
A: Yes, even though they are in Independent Living, they have access to our on-staff Nurse 24 hours a day.
Q: Do Independent Living residents have access to our free scheduled transportation?
Q: Do you have a garden that residents can enjoy?
A: Yes, and in fact, it’s a raised garden! The garden is outside in the Courtyard and is growing tomatoes and cucumbers right now.
Q: Is there a pet deposit?
Q: How do I know what level of care my loved one is at?
A: Our Director of Nursing will help make this decision with you. She will complete an assessment prior to your loved one moving in. This assessment is important because this helps us prepare for the arrival of new residents so we know just what to do the moment they walk into the door! We have five levels. The number of care services we provide will determine which level your loved one will be one.
Q: Can you transport residents to doctors and dentists and is that an extra fee?
A: Yes, we can. And no, it is not! We transport residents in our Primrose van to doctors and dentists every day. It does not cost the residents any money to utilize this service.
Q: Are your doors locked at all times? I’m concerned about people walking in and out who have no business being there.
A: You don’t have to worry about this. We have side doors that are always locked. Our front doors are open during the days when staff is here. The main doors are locked as soon as it gets dark. Family members are given keys to the building so they can come in during locked hours. It’s important that our residents know only those we trust are given keys to.
